Supernatural

Vancouver, BC
ongoing research

A study to look at creating opportunities for pause and communal engagement along Vancouver's seawall, a linear space of perpetual motion. Starting with the humble concession stand as a point of departure, the proposal grew into a series of pavilions that act as amplifiers of human connection within a natural setting. Study sites include Kits Point, First Beach, and Prospect Point. In each case, the individual characteristics of site, context, and existing infrastructure were incorporated into a structure that brings out the best of each place.
